Eurovision: Πως μπορείς να καταστρέψεις ένα τραγούδι.

Είδα τον τελικό επιλογής του ελληνικού τραγουδιού για την Eurovision και παρατήρησα πολλές διαφορές με την παρουσίαση των τραγουδιών 1-2 βδομάδες πριν.

Είναι εκπληκτικό πόσο κακή δουλειά έκαναν όλοι τους μαζί: σκηνοθέτης, χορογράφος, ενδυματολόγος. Ειδικά το τραγούδι που νίκησε κόντεψαν να το θάψουν. Πραγματικά πιστεύω ότι νίκησε λόγω του ότι ο κόσμος είχε την προηγούμενη εικόνα για το τραγούδι και όχι την εικόνα που παρουσίασε εκείνη τη βραδιά, γιατί πολύ απλά ήταν άθλια και το The time is now και το I don't wanna dance ήταν κλάσεις ανώτερα.

Αλλά ας μιλήσουμε συγκεκριμένα. Όπως βλέπεις καμιά φορά τις φωτογραφίες Πριν και Μετά έτσι ας δούμε τα βίντεο Πριν και Μετά

Για τον Λούκα Γιώρκα:

1) Τα καινούρια ρούχα τον κάνουν να δείχνει σαν ψιλολέλεκας. Τα πόδια του μοιάζουν με πόδια πελεκάνου. Γενικά χάλια. Τα ρούχα του πρώτου βίντεο, ναι μεν ήταν απλά, αλλά έκρυβαν το πόσο ψηλός και κοκαλιάρης είναι.

2) Η κάμερα που τον έπαιρνε στο πρώτο βίντεο από χαμηλά τον έκανε να δείχνει θεαματικό και ισχυρό όταν τραγουδούσε. Αντίστοιχο ενός ζεϊμπέκη και των στίχων που τραγουδάει. Αυτό το πλεονέκτημα χάθηκε στο νέο βίντεο.

3) Του στήσανε το μικρόφωνο μπροστά στη μούρη του ενώ πριν το κρατούσε στο χέρι. Φάνηκε πάρα πολύ ότι δεν είναι άνετος με αυτό και φάλτσαρε. Όταν στο τέλος αρπάζει το μικρόφωνο στο χέρι και πετάει κάτω το σταντ φαίνεται η διαφορά στη φωνή του και στην κίνησή του. Το τραγούδι απογειώνεται.

4) Στο πρώτο βίντεο έχει ένα σταθερό στήσιμο ποδιών χωρίς να τα κουνάει καθόλου. Όταν δεν τραγουδάει ρίχνει το κεφάλι και τα χέρια κάτω ανενεργός, όταν τραγουδάει κουνάει μόνο το πάνω μέρος του σώματός του. Αυτό το στήσιμο σε συνδιασμό με το γεγονός ότι οι λήψεις παίρνονταν από χαμηλά και με τον φωτισμό (το πρόσωπό του δε φαινόταν όταν δεν τραγουδούσε) ήταν πολύ πετυχημένο. Στο καινούριο βίντεο έχει ένα βλακώδες στήσιμο με το ένα πόδι μπροστά που να μην χαρακτηρίσω σαν τι φαίνεται...

Ο ράππερ:

1) Στο πρώτο βίντεο ο ράπερ τραγουδάει γύρω από τον τραγουδιστή (ο οποίος είναι ακίνητος και σκοτεινός) και απομακρύνεται όταν δεν τραγουδάει, αφού "του δώσει την μπάλα" με κάποιο τρόπο. Στο νέο βίντεο δεν υπάρχει καμία επικοινωνία μεταξύ των δύο τραγουδιστών. Απλά έβαλαν τον ράπερ να συντραγουδάει την πρώτη γραμμή του ελληνικού ρεφρέν (που είναι και άχρηστο).

2) (Συνδεδεμένο με το προηγούμενο) έβαλαν τον ράπερ να τραγουδάει πάνω σε ένα τραπέζι. Ο άνθρωπος προφανώς φοβόταν ότι θα πέσει, γιατί ο χορός του έγινε πολύ άθλιος. Στο πρώτο βίντεο χόρευε μια χαρά γύρω από τον τραγουδιστή. Τώρα χόρευε τόσο άχαρα. Μου θύμισε την Σκοπιανή τραγουδίστρια μερικά χρόνια πριν στη Eurovision της Αθήνας που δε μπορούσε να συγχρονίσει τα πόδια της (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIlocMWDvgQ)

3) Καλοί οι έξτρα χορευτές που έβαλαν γύρω του, αλλά δε χρειάζεται να τους δείχνει ο σκηνοθέτης όλη την ώρα! Έχουν τέτοια στην Ευρώπη.

Μοναδικά θετικά σημεία της νέας έκδοσης το ότι χόρεψε ο Γιώρκας ζεϊμπέκικο (ο θεός να το κάνει) σε αντίθεση με το πρώτο βίντεο όπου watch my dance μας έλεγε και dance δε βλέπαμε. Και τα αγγλικά του ράπερ σα να βελτιώθηκαν (έλεος, καθηγητής μουσικής στην Αγγλία και η προφορά του στα αγγλικά ήταν βαστουνόβλαχη ελληνική προφορά αγγλικών;!)

Αν θέλετε μια θέση στην πρώτη πεντάδα, γυρίστε στην αρχική χορογραφία, σκηνοθεσία (και κατά προτίμηση και ρούχα), αλλιώς θα πατώσουμε!

Έλληνας ή Αλβανός;

Στη σελίδα στο Φατσοβιβλίο ενός νεαρού Αλβανού (με ελληνικό όνομα και μέσα σε παρένθεση το αλβανικό του) που προφανώς γεννήθηκε στην Ελλάδα από Αλβανούς γονείς βρήκα αυτό το βίντεο

ανάμεσα σε άλλες βρισιές για την Ελλάδα και ύμνους για την Αλβανία.

Και διάφορες απορίες μου γεννιούνται στο μυαλό:

- Καταλαβαίνω την υπερβολική αγάπη που τρέφει αυτό το παιδί για την πατρίδα του. Κι οι Έλληνες που γεννιούνται στο εξωτερικό έχουν τρελή αγάπη για την Ελλάδα και νιώθουν πρώτα Έλληνες και μετά υποίκοοι της χώρας στην οποία γεννήθηκαν και μεγάλωσαν ακόμα κι αν έχουν την υποικοότητά της (πόσο μάλλον οι μετανάστες στην Ελλάδα που δεν παίρνουν την ελληνική υποικοότητα ποτέ). Αλλά προς τι όλο αυτό το μίσος για την Ελλάδα; Προς τι όλο αυτό το μίσος για τη χώρα που τους (αν)έθρεψε και μόρφωσε; Γιατί δεν την αγαπάνε τόσο όσο τη χώρα καταγωγής τους και μάλιστα το αντίθετο: τη μισούν θανάσιμα.

- Γιατί τέτοιο μίσος για τη Σερβία και τέτοια αγάπη για την Τουρκία; Πιο πολύ κακό έχουν προκαλέσει οι Αλβανοί στη Σερβία παρά η Σερβία στην Αλβανία. Η Τουρκία από που κι ως που αδελφή χώρα της Αλβανίας; Μήπως οι Αλβανοί δεν προσπάθησαν επίσης να απευλευθερωθούν από τους τούρκους; Εντάξει οι περισσότεροι Αλβανοί είναι μουσουλμάνοι, αλλά ένα 30% είναι χριστιανοί. Και εν πάσει περιπτώσει τι έχει αρνητική εμπειρία έχει αυτό το παιδί (18-19 χρονών) από τη Σερβία και τι θετική από την Τουρκία;!

- Συχνά κατηγορούμε τους (αυτόχθονους) Ολλανδούς εδώ για ρατσισμό ενάντια στους μετανάστες (ειδικά Τουρκικής και Μαροκινής καταγωγής) και τους αλλόχθονους Ολλανδούς. Μήπως όμως έρχεται και η σειρά μας; Μήπως οι γεννημένοι και μεγαλωμένοι στην Ελλάδα Αλβανοί δεν είναι τόσο ελληνοποιημένοι όσο νομίζαμε; Μήπως είναι δικιολογημένες οι ανησυχίες των κατοίκων του κέντρου της Αθήνας (αν και αυτοί φέρονται συνήθως ενάντια των Πακιστανών);

Δεν ξέρω. Δεν έχω ακόμα απαντήσεις. Είναι νωρίς. Προς το παρόν έχω μόνο απορίες.

Μπορώ μόνο για τον εαυτό μου να πω ότι σε 1 χρόνο από τώρα θα είμαι ΚΑΙ Ολλανδός εκτός από Έλληνας. Και δε νομίζω ότι έχει κάτι η Ολλανδία να φοβηθεί από μένα. Την αγαπώ όπως αγαπώ την Ελλάδα και δε θα αναρτούσα ποτέ φωτογραφίες ή βίντεο μίσους (ενάντια στην Ολλανδία) στο Facebook μου. Όμως από την άλλη ποτέ δεν ήρθε απευθείας σε ρίξη ο ολλανδικός λαός με τον ελληνικό. Θα ένιωθα το ίδιο αν ζούσα στην Τουρκία, στην Βουλγαρία, στα Σκόπια ή στην Αλβανία;

Sinterklaas

Απόψε είναι παραμονή του Αγίου Νικολάου. Είναι η πιο αγαπημένη γιορτή των Ολλανδών. Τον έχουν κάνει κάτι σαν τον Άγιο Βασίλη, αλλά έχουν μπερδέψει λίγο τα μπούτια τους με τον μύθο.

Ο Άι Νικόλας έρχεται από την Ισπανία με ένα ατμόπλοιο, κατεβαίνει στην Ολλανδία και την γυρίζει με το άσπρο του άλογο ντυμένος σαν καθολικός επίσκοπος. Βάζει δώρα στα παπούτσια/κάλτσες των παιδιών με την βοήθεια των μαύρων βοηθών του (Zwarte Piet).

Η ημιμάθεια των Ολλανδών δεν έχει όρια (όχι ότι οι Έλληνες πάμε πίσω) και ο μύθος του Sinterklaas είναι ένα καλό παράδειγμα. Άμα τους ρωτήσεις άλλοι θα σου πουν ότι είναι Ισπανός και άλλοι Τούρκος(!!) γιατί κάποιοι γνωρίζουν ότι ήταν επίσκοπος στην Λυκία (αιώνες πριν οι τούρκοι πατήσουν το πόδι τους στη Μ.Ασία, αλλά τέλος πάντων).

Επίσης έχουν μπει θέματα political correctness σε σχέση με το χρώμα του βοηθού του Αϊ Νικόλα, του Zwarte Piet (μαύρος Πέτρος), ο οποίος προφανώς μπήκε στο μύθο κατά την περίοδο της σκλαβιάς και αντιπροσωπεύει τους σκλάβους απο το Σουρινάμ κτλ. Τώρα θέλουν να αλλάξουν το μύθο γιατί οι αλλόχθονοι (έγχρωμοι) Ολλανδοί γκρινιάζουν ότι είναι ρατσιστικό στοιχείο και προωθείται η εκδοχή ότι είναι μαύρος λόγω επαγγέλματος (καπνοδοχοκαθαριστής).

Όπως και να έχει τα Ζουζούνια Ακαζού (βλ. βίντεο παρακάτω) κάναν ένα τραγικό λάθος και συσχέτισαν τα Χριστούγεννα με τον Αϊ Νικόλα, πράγμα που εκνευρίζει απίστευτα τους Ολλανδούς. Θυμώνουν ακόμα και όταν τα μαγαζιά στολίζονται χριστουγεννιάτικα πριν τις 6 Δεκεμβρίου. Εδώ τα μαγαζιά στολίζονται το μισό Νοέμβρη για τον Sinterklaas, μετά ξεστολίζονται και στολίζονται χριστουγεννιάτικα. Ακόμα και οι γονείς όταν βγαίνουν στην αγορά μεταμφιέζουν τα παιδιά τους σε Zwarte Piet, με τα μεσαιωνικά ρούχα και τους βάφουν το πρόσωπο μαύρο :)

Είναι παράδοση την παραμονή να μαζεύονται οι οικογένειες και να ανταλλάσουν δώρα. Γράφουν επίσης και μικρά πειραχτικά ποιηματάκια ο ένας για τον άλλον τα οποία συνοδεύουν το δώρο. Τυπικό γλυκό της γιορτής είναι τα pepernoten.

Ο Sinterklaas μεταφέρθηκε στην Αμερική με τους Ολλανδούς εποίκους (για όσους δεν το ξέρουν η Ν. Υόρκη ήταν Ολλανδική αποικία και λεγόταν New Amsterdam) όπου το συνονθύλευμα εποίκων και μεταναστών που δημιούργησε αργότερα το αμερικανικό έθνος, με την βοήθεια λίγο και της Coca Cola, τον μετέτρεψε στον Santa Klaus από τη Λαπωνία.

Όπως και να έχει τα Ζουζούνια έκαναν καλή διαφήμιση στην Ολλανδία και οι Ολλανδοί ξετρελαίνονται όταν οι ξένοι προσπαθούν να μιλήσουν λίγο ολλανδικά, οπότε το τραγούδι έχει κάνει καλή εντύπωση (αν εξαιρέσεις μερικούς κλασικούς Ολλανδούς που ΠΡΕΠΕΙ να γκρινιάξουν γιατί ο Sinterklaas συσχετίζεται με τα Χριστούγεννα).

Τι ρόλο βαράς Πρετεντέρη;

Θα μας τρελάνει ο Πρετεντέρης; Τελευταία τη λέει συνεχώς σε μέλη του ΠΑΣΟΚ για το γεγονός ότι μέσω της εξεταστικής θέλουν να παραπέμψουν βουλευτές της ΝΔ στη Δικαιοσύνη.

Κατά τη γνώμη του, αν το ΠΑΣΟΚ θέλει συναίνεση από την αξιωματική αντιπολίτευση πρέπει να μην την προκαλεί με τέτοιες κινήσεις.

ΤΙ ΛΕ ΡΕ ΠΡΕΤΕΝΤΕΡΗ;!

Θέλεις ή δε θέλεις να πληρώσουν οι υπαίτιοι;! Προτείνεις δηλαδή να μην τιμωριθούν οι υπαίτιοι για χάριν της συναίνεσης;! Σε διόρισε κάποιος δικηγόρο τους;

Πολύ θράσσος έχουν πάρει κάποιοι δημοσιογράφοι...

Ολλανδική κουλτούρα και νοσοκομεία.

Είπα να συνδυάσω 2 ιστορίες σε μία. Την περασμένη εβδομάδα είχα δύο γεγονότα, λοιπόν. Την τελετή μύησής μου(inauguration) στο ράγκμπυ κλαμπ και μία μικρή επέμβαση.

To inauguration έγινε τη Δευτέρα το βράδυ. Αφού κάναμε μια ατέλειωτη βαρετή γενική συνέλευση συζητώντας τα οικονομικά του κλαμπ, μας μάζεψαν τα νέα μέλη στην κουζίνα και έκλεισαν την πόρτα. Ο κάπτεν μας που παρότι παλιός παίζει την ομάδα των νεώπων ήταν μαζί καθώς και ο προπονητής μας (επίσης ένας από τους παλιούς). Ήμασταν πολλοί φέτος (γύρω στους 35) και η κουζίνα πολύ μικρή για τόσα άτομα. Ήταν στριμωγμένα, αλλά "gezellig" που λένε οι Ολλανδοί.

Στη μέση βάλανε ένα τσουκάλι με μπύρα το οποίο φρόντιζαν να γεμίζουν συχνά. Βουτούσαμε όλοι μπύρα από εκεί και πίναμε τραγουδώντας τραγούδια του κλαμπ και τραγούδια του πιοτού, όπως τα λένε οι Ολλανδοί. Τελείως Βίκινγκ κατάσταση. Το όνομα του κλαμπ άλλωστε είναι το όνομα ενός σκανδιναβικού θεού.

Όποιος έκανε λάθος στο τραγούδι τιμωρούνταν με τον εξής τρόπο: όλοι μαζί τραγουδούσαμε ένα συγκεκριμένο τραγούδι της μπύρας/τιμωρίας στο τέλος ο τιμωρημένος έπρεπε να κατεβάσει μονορούφι ένα ποτήρι μπύρα. Εν τω μεταξύ κάθε 10 λεπτά άνοιγε η πόρτα και άρπαζαν έναν και τον πήγαιναν μέσα στο μπαρ για την μύηση (το όλο πράμα λάμβανε χώρα στο καράβι του συλλόγου παρεμπιπτόντως). Μέχρι να πας εκεί βέβαια είχες γίνει τύφλα.

Μόλις έμπαινες στο μπαρ ήταν κατασκότεινα (είχαν κλείσει τα φώτα) και τα -ήδη- μέλη του κλαμπ που ηταν μαζεμένα εκεί βαρούσαν τα πόδια τους στο ξύλινο πάτωμα. "Ωχ, θεέ μου, τι θα μου κάνουν;" Σκεφτόμουν.

Βασικά είχε πολύ πλάκα. Μόλις έφτασα στο τέλος του δωματίου τα φώτα άνοιξαν. Ο πρόεδρος του κλαμπ ήταν ανεβασμένος σε ένα τραπέζι κρατώντας ένα σκήπτρο που ήταν ένα τεράστιο κόκαλο φτιαγμένο από μέταλο, βαμμένο στα χρώματα του συλλόγου, και το χτυπούσε πότε πότε στην οροφή πάνω σε κάτι μεταλικό. Με προσκάλεσε να ανέβω στο τραπέζι όπου μου πήρε συνέντευξη με το κόκαλο. Οι ερωτήσεις του καθώς και οι ερωτήσεις του κοινού ήταν πέρα από άβολες ("What's your best masturbation story?", και άλλα τέτοια), αλλά ήσουν τόσο τύφλα που απλά τους έλεγες την αλήθεια :)

Ένα παρόμοιο παιχνίδι παίξαμε μέσα στην κουζίνα όσο περιμέναμε να μας καλέσουν για μύηση, ανάμεσα στα τραγούδια που μαθαίναμε. Κάποιος έλεγε "Δεν έχω ... ποτέ." και αν αυτό που είπε ήταν αλήθεια δεν έκανες τίποτα, αν όμως παρ' όλ' αυτά εσύ το έχεις κάνει στη ζωή σου έστω και μια φορά έπρεπε να πιεις λίγη μπύρα. Οι ερωτήσεις ήταν επίσης πάρα πολύ εξευτιλιστικές, αλλά ήμασταν τόσο τύφλα που απαντούσαμε ειλικρινά.

Μετά τη συνέντευξη ο Πρόεδρος (αστείο αλλά στα Ολλανδικά η λέξη που χρησιμοποιούν είναι voorzitter=προκαθήμενος) μου ζήτησε να γωνατίσω, να κλείσω τα μάτια μου και να ανοίξω το στόμα μου. Υπό κανονικές συνθήκες λίγοι άντρες το κάνουν αυτό εθελοντικά :P

Μου έβαλε κάτι σαν σωλήνα στο στόμα από το οποίο έπρεπε να πίνω ασταμάτητα μπύρα. Δε θυμάμαι αν την είπια όλη ή αν άρχιζε να ξεχειλίζει κάποια στιγμή. Θυμάμαι πάντως ότι ήταν πολλή. Όταν άνοιξα τα μάτια μου μου έδωσε τη γραβάτα του συλλόγου και ένα βιβλιαράκι με 150 τραγούδια που πρέπει να μάθω. Ανακοίνωσε ότι είμαι πλέον ένας από αυτούς και χτύπησε το κόκαλο στο ταβάνι. Όλοι τραγούδισαν το τραγούδι της μπύρας και ο Πρόεδρος κατέβασε μαζί μου μονορούφι ένα ποτήρι μπύρα(φαντάσου πόσες μπύρες είπιε εκείνο το βράδυ αφού την ίδια διαδικασία έκανε για 35 περίπου άτομα). Όταν κατέβηκα κάτω οι παλιοί με αγκάλιασαν και με συγχάρηκαν. Ήμουν πια ένας από αυτούς, οπότε κάθισα κάτω μαζί τους και πήρα μέρος στη μύηση των υπόλοιπων νέων. Εκεί ανακάλυψα απο που έπινα μπύρα με κλειστά τα ματια. Ήταν ένα κεραμικό βάζο που έμοιαζε με ποτιστήρι μόνο που το στόμιό του ήταν ένα ομοίωμα πέους!

Γιατί λέω όμως αυτή την ιστορία. Μέσα σε όλη αυτή την έκρηξη τεστοστερόνης, σε αυτό το τελείως μπρουτάλ περιβάλλον (μιλάμε για ένα ράγκμπυ κλαμπ, έτσι;) μου έκανε εντύπωση η κυρίαρχη ύπαρξη της Ολλανδικής ανεκτικότητας. Όλες οι σεξουαλικού περιεχομένου ερωτήσεις διατυπώνονταν με απόλυτη ουδετερότητα και μέσα στην μύηση και πριν στην κουζίνα με τα παιχνίδια με την μπύρα. Οι ερωτήσεις ήταν σε στυλ "Τι σε ανάβει σε μια κοπέλα ή σε ένα αγόρι;". Ενώ στο παιχνίδι με την μπύρα υπήρχαν ερωτήσεις όπως "Δεν έχω φιλήσει ποτέ αγόρι." και "Δεν έχω βάλει ποτέ τίποτα στον κώλο μου." τις οποίες όλοι απάντησαν με τρομερή ειλικρίνεια και κανένας δε χλέβασε κανέναν.

Εντυπωσιακό.

Τώρα μια τελείως διαφορετική ιστορία. Την Παρασκευή έκανα μια επέμβαση σε ένα Ολλανδικό νοσοκομείο. Δεν έχω κάνει ποτέ επέμβαση στην Ελλάδα οπότε δε μπορώ να συγκρίνω αλλά είμαι σίγουρος ότι στην Ελλάδα τα πράγματα γίνονται διαφορετικά, οπότε απλά θα αναφέρω κάποια πράγματα που μου έκαναν εντύπωση και κάντε εσείς σύγκριση με δική σας εμπειρία στην Ελλάδα. Το είδος της επέμβασης δεν έχει σημασία. Ήταν μικρή και μετά από κάποιες ώρες στην ανάρωση μπορούσα να γυρίσω σπίτι μου.

Καταρχήν είχα ραντεβού με τον αναισθησιολόγο που θα ήταν στην επέμπβαση 1-2 βδομάδες πριν όπου μου έκανε κάποιες εξετάσεις και μου πήρε μια συνέντευξη για να μην κάνει καμιά πατάτα στην επέμβαση. Το πρωί που πήγα στο νοσοκομείο για την επέμβαση μια νοσοκόμα με πήρε και με πήγε στο δωμάτιό μου όπου είχα τα πάντα στη διάθεσή μου και ήρθε με ένα πράγμα σαν iPad και τσέκαρε τα στοιχεία μου και μου πήρε κι αυτή συνέντευξη. Μου έκανε μια αντιθρομβωτική ένεση και μου έδωσε ένα χαλαρωτικό χάπι. Ξάπλωσα στο κρεβάτι, το ρύθμισα στην πιο αναπαυτική θέση και χάζευα τη φοβερή θέα από το παράθυρο.

Αργότερα ήρθε και με πήρε (με το κρεβάτι μου μαζί, το οποίο ερωτεύτηκα και τους ζήτησα να μου το στείλουν σπίτι, χαχα) και με πήγανε στην αίθουσα προετοιμασίας όπου μου έκαναν εξετάσεις και με ρώτησαν για πολλοστή φορά τα στοιχεία μου. Ακόμα και πριν με ναρκώσουν με ρωτούσαν. Να σιγουρευτούν ότι έχουν το κατάλληλο άτομο στο χειρουργείο :) Παρεμπιπτόντως οι πάντες μου έδιναν το χέρι και μου συστήνονταν. Μου φάνηκε αστείο. Ξύπνησα στο δωμάτιο προετοιμασίας 40 λεπτά αργότερα. Αφού βεβαιώθηκαν ότι όλα ήταν καλά με πήγαν στο δωμάτιό μου όπου έμεινα για λίγες ώρες μέχρι να συνέλθω τελείως από την νάρκωση.

Με επισκεύθηκε η γιατρός. Μου εξήγησε τι έγινε κατά την επέμβαση και ποια θα είναι η μετεγχερειτική μου πορεία και τι πρέπει να κάνω και μετά ανέλαβε πάλι η νοσοκόμα με το iPad να μου κλείσει ραντεβού για έλεγχο και είχε καλέσει ήδη έναν φίλο μου να έρθει να με πάρει.

Το εντυπωσιακό ήταν ότι σήμερα (3 μέρες μετά) με πήραν τηλέφωνο από το νοσοκομείο να με ρωτήσουν πως πάω και μετά με ρώτησαν πως ήταν η εμπειρία μου στο νοσοκομείο, αν οι εξηγήσεις που μου έδωσαν ήταν ξεκάθαρες και αν έχω κάποιες προτάσεις για βελτίωση της όλης διαδικασίας. Πείτε μου στην Ελλάδα θα γινόταν ποτέ αυτό;!

(και μιλάμε για ένα απλό, σχεδόν επαρχιακό, κρατικό νοσοκομείο και οι ασφαλιστικές εισφορές που πληρώνω είναι 28 ευρώ το μήνα!)

Κομματικές ή τοπικές εκλογές;

Κάθε φορά που έχουμε τοπικές εκλογές υπάρχει μια διαμάχη για το αν οι εκλογές έχουν κομματικό ή τοπικό χαρακτήρα. Αυτές οι εκλογές είναι πολύ διαφορετικές από τις άλλες. Αυτές οι εκλογές έχουν ΚΑΙ κομματικό ΚΑΙ τοπικό χαρακτήρα.

Κι αυτό γιατί καλούμαστε να ψηφίσουμε για 2 πολύ διαφορετικά επίπεδα αυτοδιοίκησης. Μέχρι τώρα οι δημοτικές/νομαρχιακές εκλογές ήταν καθαρά τοπικές. Όταν ζεις στα όρια ενός δήμου ή ενός νομού, λίγο πολύ μπορείς να γνωρίζεις τα πρόσωπα που πολιτεύονται και να ψηφίσεις αυτόν που πραγματικά εμπιστεύεσαι και συμπαθείς.

Τώρα, όμως, καλούμαστε να ψηφίσουμε εκπροσώπους σε επίπεδο περιφέρειας. Φυσικά είναι πολύ δύσκολο να ξέρεις τα πρόσωπα που πολιτεύονται σε επίπεδο περιφέρειας. Δεν ψηφίζεις πια τοπικά. Άρα αναγκάζεσαι να εμπιστευτείς τα πρόσωπα που επέλεξε το κόμμα σου. Αυτή την έννοια άλλωστε έχουν τα κόμματα. Ή τουλάχιστον θα έπρεπε να έχουν. Μια οργάνωση πολιτών με συγκεκριμένες αρχές που να σου εμπνέει εμπιστοσύνη.

Επομένως, σε αυτές τις εκλογές θα ψηφίσουμε και με τοπικά και με πολιτικά κριτήρια. Με τοπικά και προσωπικά κριτήρια στο Δήμο, με κομματικά και πολιτικά κριτήρια στις Περιφέρειες.

Δυστυχώς εν μέσω της δίνης της οικονομική κρίσεως, πάμε σε εκλογές για περιφέρειες χωρίς να έχουμε συζητήσει αρκετά και εμπεδώσει πόσο σημαντική αλλαγή είναι ο Καλλικράτης. Πέραν του ότι εξοικονομούμε 30% "καρεκλών" (φανταστείτε πόσες "καρέκλες" είχαμε πριν κι από τον Καποδίστρια!) και δημοτικών υπηρεσιών/εταιριών, οι νέες περιφέρειες (αλλά ακόμα και οι δήμοι) αποκτούν ισχυρές αρμόδιότητες (που φεύγουν από την κυβέρνηση) ικανές να επηρεάσουν την καθημερινότητά μας. Πρόκειται για ένα μοντέλο ευρωπαϊκού τύπου διακυβέρνησης που στην Ολλανδία ισχύει εδώ και χρόνια. Κι έχω γράψει ήδη στο παρελθόν για το πόσο με εντυπωσίασαν οι αρμοδιότητες των δήμων εδώ στην Ολλανδία (είναι σχεδόν τοπικές κυβερνήσεις που παρέχουν τα πάντα από βοήθεια με τη δουλειά, τα παιδιά, τα προσωπικά προβλήματα, μέχρι επιδόματα και σπίτια).

Στην Ελλάδα, όμως, οι Οργανισμοί Τοπικής Αυτοδιοίκησης είναι πρωταθλητές διαφθοράς. Ο Έλληνας δεν την έχει εμπεδώσει την τοπική αυτοδιοίκηση ακόμα (είναι σχετικά νέα στην Ελλάδα άλλωστε, παιδί του ΠΑΣΟΚ, ουδέποτε πίστεψε σε αυτήν η ΝΔ), πηγαίνει στην κάλπη με ελαφριά διάθεση και δεν παρακολουθεί το τι κάνει ο Δήμαρχος που ψήφισε, πέραν του αν υπάρχουν λακούβες και τα σκουπίδια συλλέγονται κανονικά. Και εν τω μεταξύ ο Δήμαρχός του και το επιτελείο του το γλεντάνε σε έναν χορό εκατομμυρίων ευρώ εις υγείαν του κορόιδου.

Γνωρίζω Δήμο για παράδειγμα (και φαντάζομαι είναι γενικευμένη πρακτική των Δήμων σε όλη την Ελλάδα) όπου συγκεκριμένη κατασκευαστική εταιρία χτυπάει όλες τις δημοπρασίες του Δήμου με τρελές εκπτώσεις τις οποίες οι άλλες (φιλότιμες) εταιρίες αδυνατούν να ανταγωνιστούν. Φυσικά με τα λεφτά που χρεώνει η εν λόγω εταιρία τον Δήμο είναι αδύνατο να γίνει το έργο στην ποιότητα και τις προδιαγραφές που το είχε παραγγείλει ο Δήμος. Αλλά η κατασκευαστική λαδώνει τον Δήμαρχο, το επιτελείο του και προπαντώς τον μηχανικό του Δήμου που ελέγχει το έργο και το εγκρίνει για παραλαβή.

Όποια τίμια εταιρία τολμήσει να παραπονεθεί για αυτό το "σύστημα" θα μπει στην μαύρη λίστα των δημοσίων υπαλλήλων και δε θα ξαναδεί έργο ποτέ :)

Κι αυτό το σύστημα το εκτρέφουμε εμείς με τις ψήφους μας. Αυτό εννοεί ο Πάγκαλος όταν λέει ότι τα λεφτά τα φάγαμε όλοι μαζί. Γι' αυτό, λοιπόν, Έλληνα, ξύπνα και σκέψου καλά ποιον ψηφίζεις και προσπάθησε να προωθήσεις τίμιους ανθρώπους που έχουν αξίες στη ζωή τους.

Θέλω να πιστεύω ότι μας έχει απομείνει μια χούφτα από δαύτους. Βρες τους. Μια φορά στα τέσσερα χρόνια είναι. Μπες στον κόπο!

iPhone 3Gs doesn't charge.

Just got back my iPhone from the Apple Service. They replaced it with a new one. One of the problems it had was that suddenly it wouldn't charge from the wall plug, it wouldn't charge when connected to a PC/laptop, it would only charge when connected to a MacBook!

Well I'm lucky I have a MacBook, cause till last Christmas I didn't! Apparently it's not a problem of the hardware. It must have started doing that after a software update. I googled it and it seems that people all over the world have the same problem.

Obviously, the geniuses of apple did something stupid and created this problem with an update (that was probably fixing something else). But what is the answer of Apple to all this?? NOTHING. They are quiet. They pretend they don't see the problem!

How is it possible that your no 1 selling phone doesn't charge and you ignore it?!

Today I heard a dutch housemate of mine saying that in Greece people retire at the age of 53 already.

Thanks to the media, mostly in Germany and Netherlands, North Europeans have an illusionary idea of the situation in Greece. They think that people retire at the age of 55 and get lots of extra salaries (16 I heard!!!) and have paradisal pensions. I also heard that there were 30 gym teachers on an island with 7 students. In that case of course they refuse to help financially.

However, the Greek situation is actually tragic:

- Greek people retire on average at the age of 61.5 and that's just above the EU average!

- The minimum Greek pension is 350 euros, the average Greek pension is 540 euros and 80% of the pensioners get a pension lower than 1000 euros.

- The salaries in Greece are 14 per year like the rest of Europe (were actually, since 1/5/2010 they are only 12).

- In each class in a Greek school there are 30 (sometimes more) pupils. And no teacher wants to go teach on an island. There are actually islands without schools and the pupils have to take the boat every day (imagine a winter storm in the sea) to go to school at another island.

My father will have 25% reduction in his pension and no raise for the next 3 (probably 5) years. The gasoline costed less than 1 euro per litre last year and now it costs more than 1.5 euros per litre. The VAT is now 23% (1 year ago it was 19%).

The Greek people are bleeding and the German and Dutch media have no respect for that! Instead they spread criminal lies and try to manipulate the Dutch and German population against the aid to Greece.

What aid?! When you borrow with 3% interest and you lend to Greece with 5% interest you make a profit of 2%!! That's not aid, that's an investment!

My fathers money go into your pockets and you still complain about it for God's sake!!!

PS: somebody also told me that probably the European countries that will help Greece will never ask those money back. I guess if that was the case, Greece wouldn't have the problem of the national debt in the first place, would it? I don't know any creditor that forgot to ask his money back...

Ένας φίλος μου αμετανόητος ΝΔ μου λέει συνεχώς ότι το ΠΑΣΟΚ είναι το κόμμα που φόρτωσε την Ελλάδα με δάνεια. Παραθέτω εδώ κάτω τα στοιχεία από ένα άρθρο του Μανόλη Δρεττάκη, πρώην αντιπροέδρου της βουλής, υπουργού και καθηγητή πανεπιστημίου (ΑΣΟΕΕ), όπου συγκρίνεται η 9ετία ΠΑΣΟΚ 1995-2004 και η 5ετία ΝΔ 2004-2009.

Για να καταλάβω:

Η ΝΔ πήρε το δημόσιο χρέος το 2004 στα 183 δις (98.6% του ΑΕΠ) και το παρέδωσε το 2009 στα 272 δις (115% του ΑΕΠ) και την ανάπτυξη το 2004 στο 4.7% και την οδήγησε στο 3.7% το 2006 και στο 2.9% στο 2008 και την παρέδωσε τελικά στο 0% το 2009. 3 μήνες πριν τις εκλογές λέγαν ότι το έλλειμμα είναι 4%, λίγες μέρες πριν τις εκλογές 6.5% και τελικά αποδείχτηκε ότι ήταν 12.7%

ΚΑΙ ΕΧΟΥΝ ΤΟ ΘΡΑΣΣΟΣ ΚΑΙ ΜΙΛΑΝΕ ΑΚΟΜΑ??!?!?!?

Από τη σύγκριση φαίνεται ότι το ΠΑΣΟΚ δανειζόταν ανάλογα με τις δυνατότητες της οικονομίας, καθώς ο δανεισμός αυξανόταν περίπου όσο αυξανόταν και το ΑΕΠ (διαφορά μικρότερη του 1%) ενώ η ΝΔ δανείζόταν με πολλαπλάσιο ρυθμό!!! (4.2%) Σε απόλυτα νούμερα η ΝΔ σε 5 χρόνια δανείστηκε πλεονασματικά 25 φορές όσα πλεονασματικά δανείστηκε το ΠΑΣΟΚ σε σχεδόν τα διπλάσια χρόνια!!!

Και ξαναρωτάω:

The fairytale that Greece lied to join EUROzone and the Greek financial crisis

Enough with the fairytale that Greece shouldn't get into Euro or lied to get into it. Greece entered EUROzone totally legally. The conservative Greek government of 2004-2009 tried to accuse the previous government for that and created that rumour. They made research, they found nothing wrong and eventually they admitted themselves that it was a stupid decision to doubt the previous government and only lead to giving the country a bad reputation.

The problems that Greece has today are also "miracle" of the conservative Greek government of 2004-2009. They received an economy of 4.5% progress and they managed to drop it to 0% before the crisis! They lied about the deficit to EU and the Greek people.

So yes, the Greeks have to pay. But also EU has to pay! Because Balkenende, Merkel, Sarkozy, Berluscony and the rest of the Christian-Democrat gang all knew what the Greek government was doing all these 5.5 years. But they covered the ass of their Conservative buddie (prime minister back then) Karamanlis.

So yes, now they also have to pay. Whether they will take those money from tax (Dutch/German/French) payers or not is their own problem.

Greece doesn't ask for money anyway. What does Greece ask:

If Greece had its own currency it could have de-evaluated it and get out of this crisis. But now Greece has Euro, so it's not possible.

The deficit will fall with the harsh measures and cut-backs that the new (Social-Democrat) government (of G. Papandreou) announced and everyones agrees on that.

But right now Greece can't borrow cheap money. Greece borrows money with almost double the interest of the rest EU countries! No matter how it cuts back on expenses, the high interest of those loans will eventually choke the Greek economy.

So EU has to find a way that Greece gets access to cheap loans. So what Greece is proposing is that the EU is borrowing on behalf of all the EU countries. This way, yes, Germany will borrow a little bit more expensive than what they borrow now, but Greece and the rest economies of the South will borrow money cheapper. That will complete the monetary union (EUROzone), cause now apparently it's incomplete.

According also to the French Minister of Finances, this is not about Greece. This is about an attack of 6 specific financial centres of American and Brittish interests against EURO.

They use now the weakest link, Greece. But soon they will turn to Spain and Portugal and maybe even Italy.

Dear President Obama,

We, the undersigned scholars of Graeco-Roman antiquity, respectfully request that you intervene to clean up some of the historical debris left in southeast Europe by the previous U.S. administration. On November 4, 2004, two days after the re-election of President George W. Bush, his administration unilaterally recognized the "Republic of Macedonia." This action not only abrogated geographic and historic fact, but it also has unleashed a dangerous epidemic of historical revisionism, of which the most obvious symptom is the misappropriation by the government in Skopje of the most famous of Macedonians, Alexander the Great.

We believe that this silliness has gone too far, and that the U.S.A. has no business in supporting the subversion of history. Let us review facts. (The documentation for these facts can be found attached and at: http://macedonia-evidence.org/documentation.html) land in question, with its modern capital at Skopje, was called Paionia in antiquity. Mts. Barnous and Orbelos (which form today the northern limits of Greece) provide a natural barrier that separated, and separates, Macedonia from its northern neighbor. The only real connection is along the Axios/Vardar River and even this valley "does not form a line of communication because it is divided by gorges."

While it is true that the Paionians were subdued by Philip II, father of Alexander, in 358 B.C. they were not Macedonians and did not live in Macedonia. Likewise, for example, the Egyptians, who were subdued by Alexander, may have been ruled by Macedonians, including the famous Cleopatra, but they were never Macedonians themselves, and Egypt was never called Macedonia. Rather, Macedonia and Macedonian Greeks have been located for at least 2,500 years just where the modern Greek province of Macedonia is. Exactly this same relationship is true for Attica and Athenian Greeks, Argos and Argive Greeks, Corinth and Corinthian Greeks, etc.

We do not understand how the modern inhabitants of ancient Paionia, who speak Slavic - a language introduced into the Balkans about a millennium after the death of Alexander - can claim him as their national hero. Alexander the Great was thoroughly and indisputably Greek. His great-great-great grandfather, Alexander I, competed in the Olympic Games where participation was limited to Greeks. Even before Alexander I, the Macedonians traced their ancestry to Argos, and many of their kings used the head of Herakles - the quintessential Greek hero - on their coins. Euripides - who died and was buried in Macedonia- wrote his play Archelaos in honor of the great-uncle of Alexander, and in Greek. While in Macedonia, Euripides also wrote the Bacchai, again in Greek. Presumably the Macedonian audience could understand what he wrote and what they heard.

Alexander's father, Philip, won several equestrian victories at Olympia and Delphi, the two most Hellenic of all the sanctuaries in ancient Greece where non-Greeks were not allowed to compete. Even more significantly, Philip was appointed to conduct the Pythian Games at Delphi in 346 B.C. In other words, Alexander the Great's father and his ancestors were thoroughly Greek. Greek was the language used by Demosthenes and his delegation from Athens when they paid visits to Philip, also in 346 B.C. Another northern Greek, Aristotle, went off to study for nearly 20 years in the Academy of Plato. Aristotle subsequently returned to Macedonia and became the tutor of Alexander III. They used Greek in their classroom which can still be seen near Naoussa in Macedonia. Alexander carried with him throughout his conquests Aristotle's edition of Homer's Iliad.

Alexander also spread Greek language and culture throughout his empire, founding cities and establishing centers of learning. Hence inscriptions concerning such typical Greek institutions as the gymnasium are found as far away as Afghanistan. They are all written in Greek. The questions follow: Why was Greek the lingua franca all over Alexander's empire if he was a "Macedonian"? Why was the New Testament, for example, written in Greek?

The answers are clear: Alexander the Great was Greek, not Slavic, and Slavs and their language were nowhere near Alexander or his homeland until 1000 years later. This brings us back to the geographic area known in antiquity as Paionia. Why would the people who live there now call themselves Macedonians and their land Macedonia? Why would they abduct a completely Greek figure and make him their national hero? The ancient Paionians may or may not have been Greek, but they certainly became Greekish, and they were never Slavs.

They were also not Macedonians. Ancient Paionia was a part of the Macedonian Empire. So were Ionia and Syria and Palestine and Egypt and Mesopotamia and Babylonia and Bactria and many more. They may thus have become "Macedonian" temporarily, but none was ever "Macedonia". The theft of Philip and Alexander by a land that was never Macedonia cannot be justified. The traditions of ancient Paionia could be adopted by the current residents of that geographical area with considerable justification.

But the extension of the geographic term "Macedonia" to cover southern Yugoslavia cannot. Even in the late 19th century, this misuse implied unhealthy territorial aspirations. The same motivation is to be seen in school maps that show the pseudo-greater Macedonia, stretching from Skopje to Mt. Olympus and labeled in Slavic. The same map and its claims are in calendars, bumper stickers, bank notes, etc., that have been circulating in the new state ever since it declared its independence from Yugoslavia in 1991.

Why would a poor land-locked new state attempt such historical nonsense? Why would it brazenly mock and provoke its neighbor? However one might like to characterize such behavior, it is clearly not a force for historical accuracy, nor for stability in the Balkans. It is sad that the United States of America has abetted and encouraged such behavior.

We call upon you, Mr. President, to help - in whatever ways you deem appropriate - the government in Skopje to understand that it cannot build a national identity at the expense of historic truth. Our common international society cannot survive when history is ignored, much less when history is fabricated.

Finally the American accademia speak up!

Finally the American academia woke up and decided to protest against the distortion of the Greek history and the desperate tries of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) to steal the Greek heritage; the name "Macedonia" and all it's history as well as Alexander the Great. (for more information on that issue see my older post http://melenegiorgo.blogspot.com/2008/02/nationalists-attack-greek-embassy-in.html )

The magazine "Archaeology" published in its January-February 2009 edition a provocative article with the title "A Letter from Macedonia". That letter was refering to FYROM of course(the region called Paionia in the ancient times), not the real Macedonia (the Greek province). This article made Professor Stephen Miller, of the University of California, Berkley (doing research on Greek history since 1970) furious, so he wrote a magnificent letter to the editor, and he forwarded it to the Minsters of Foreign Affairs of both Greece and USA.

The letter, especially from the 2nd paragraph and on, is actually a list of arguements-proof that Macedonia is Greek and FYROM should not even dare to use the name, not to mention claiming its history.

It's worth reading it till the end, where in the last paragraph he finishes with a great piece of irony :)

I opened the January/February issue of Archaeology today and eagerly turned to “A Letter from Macedonia” only to discover that it was actually a letter from ancient Paionia – the land north of Mount Barmous and Mount Orbelos. Livy’s account of the creation of the Roman province of Macedonia (45.29.7 and 12) makes clear that the Paionians lived north of those mountains (which form today the geographically natural northern limits of Greece) and south of the Dardanians who were in today’s Kosovo. Strabo (7. frag 4) is even more succinct in saying that Paionia was north of Macedonia and the only connection from one to the other was (and is today) through the narrow gorge of the Axios (or Vardar) River. In other words, the land which is described by Matthew Brunwasser in his “Owning Alexander” was Paionia in antiquity.

While it is true that those people were subdued by Philip II, father of Alexander, in 359 B.C. (Diodorus Siculus 16.4.2), they were never Macedonians and never lived in Macedonia. Indeed, Demosthenes (Olynthian 1.23) tells us that they were “enslaved” by the Macedonian Philip and clearly, therefore, not Macedonians. Isokrates (5.23) makes the same point. Likewise, for example, the Egyptians who were subdued by Alexander may have been ruled by Macedonians, including the famous Cleopatra, but they were never Macedonians themselves, and Egypt was never called Macedonia (and so far as I can tell does not seek that name today).

Certainly, as Thucydides (2.99) tells us, the Macedonians had taken over “a narrow strip of Paionia extending along the Axios river from the interior to Pella and the sea”. Someone might therefore understand it, if the people in the modern republic centered at Skopje called themselves Paionians and claimed as theirs the land described by Thucydides.

But why, instead, would the modern people of ancient Paionia try to call themselves Macedonians and their land Macedonia? Mr. Brunwasser (p. 55) touches on the Greek claims “that it implies ambitions over Greek territory” and he notes that “the northern province of Greece is also called Macedonia.” Leaving aside the fact that the area of that northern province of modern Greece has been called Macedonia for more than 2,500 years (see, inter alios, Herodotus 5.17; 7.128, et alibi), more recent history shows that the Greek concerns are legitimate. For example, a map produced in Skopje in 1992 (Figure 1) shows clearly the claim that Macedonia extends from there to Mt. Olympus in the south; that is, combining the ancient regions of Paionia and Macedonia into a single entity. The same claim is explicit on a pseudo-bank note of the Republic of Macedonia which shows, as one of its monuments, the White Tower of Thessalonike, in Greece (Figure 2). There are many more examples of calendars, Christmas cards, bumper-stickers, etc., that all make the same claim.

Further, Mr. Brunwasser has reported with approval (International Herald Tribune 10/1/08) the work of the “Macedonian Institute for Strategic Research 16:9”, the name of which refers “to Acts 16:9, a verse in the New Testament in which a Macedonian man appears to the Apostle Paul begging him: ‘Come over into Macedonia, and help us.’" But where did Paul go in Macedonia? Neapolis (Kavala), Philippi, Amphipolis, Apollonia, Thessaloniki, and Veroia (Acts 16:11-17:10) all of which are in the historic Macedonia, none in Paionia. What claim is being made by an Institute based in Skopje that names itself for a trip through what was Macedonia in antiquity and what is the northern province of Greece today?

I wonder what we would conclude if a certain large island off the southeast coast of the United States started to call itself Florida, and emblazoned its currency with images of Disney World and distributed maps showing the Greater Florida.

Certainly there was no doubt of the underlying point of “Macedonia” in the mind of U.S. Secretary of State Edward Stettinius on December 26, 1944, when he wrote:
“The Department [of State] has noted with considerable apprehension increasing propaganda rumors and semi-official statements in favor of an autonomous Macedonia, emanating principally from Bulgaria, but also from Yugoslav Partisan and other sources, with the implication that Greek territory would be included in the projected state. This government considers talk of Macedonian ”nation”, Macedonian “Fatherland”, or Macedonian “national consciousness” to be unjustified demagoguery representing no ethnic nor political reality, and sees in its present revival a possible cloak for aggressive intentions against Greece.”

Mr. Brunwasser (a resident of Bulgaria), however, goes on to state, with apparent distain, that Greece claims “Alexander III of Macedon (Alexander the Great) . . . as Greek.”

This attitude mystifies me. What is there to “claim”? Alexander’s great-great-great grandfather, Alexander I, was certified as Greek at Olympia and, in the words of the father of history “I happen to know that [the forefathers of Alexander] are Greek” (Herodotus 5.22). Alexander’s father, Philip, won several equestrian victories at Olympia and Delphi (Plutarch, Alexander 4.9; Moralia 105A), the two most Hellenic of all the sanctuaries in ancient Greece where non-Greeks were not allowed to compete. If Philip was Greek, wasn’t his son also Greek?

When Euripides – who died and was buried in Macedonia (Thucydides apud Pal. Anth. 7.45; Pausanias 1.2.2; Diodorus Siculus 13.103) – wrote his play Archelaos in honor of the great-uncle of Alexander, did he write it in Slavic? When he wrote the Bacchai while at the court of Archelaos did he not write it in Greek even as it has survived to us? Or should we imagine that Euripides was a “Macedonian” who wrote in Slavic (at a date when that language is not attested) which was translated into Greek?

What was the language of instruction when Aristotle taught Alexander? What language was carried by Alexander with him on his expedition to the East? Why do we have ancient inscriptions in Greek in settlements established by Alexander as far away as Afghanistan, and none in Slavic? Why did Greek become the lingua franca in Alexander’s empire if he was actually a “Macedonian”? Why was the New Testament written in Greek rather than Slavic?

On page 57 of the so-called “Letter from Macedonia” there is a photograph of the author standing “before a bronze statue of Alexander the Great in the city of Prilep.” The statue is patently modern, but the question is whether the real historic Alexander could have read the Slavic inscription beneath his feet. Given the known historic posterity of Slavic to Greek, the answer is obvious.

While Mr. Brunwasser’s reporting of the archaeological work in Paionia is welcome, his adoption and promotion of the modern political stance of its people about the use of the name Macedonia is not only unwelcome, it is a disservice to the readers of Archaeology who are, I imagine, interested in historic fact. But then, the decision to propagate this historical nonsense by Archaeology – a publication of the Archaeological Institute of America - is a disservice to its own reputation.

Let it be said once more: the region of ancient Paionia was a part of the Macedonian empire. So were Ephesos and Tyre and Palestine and Memphis and Babylon and Taxila and dozens more. They may thus have become “Macedonian” temporarily, but none was ever “Macedonia”.
Allow me to end this exegesis by making a suggestion to resolve the question of the modern use of the name “Macedonia.” Greece should annex Paionia – that is what Philip II did in 359 B.C. And that would appear to be acceptable to the modern residents of that area since they claim to be Greek by appropriating the name Macedonia and its most famous man. Then the modern people of this new Greek province could work on learning to speak and read and write Greek, hopefully even as well as Alexander did.

Δεν το καταλαβαίνω αυτό με τους αγρότες ρε παιδιά. Το να ζητάνε επιστροφή του ΦΠΑ το καταλαβαίνω. Και ας μην πληρώνουν και καθόλου ΦΠΑ, δεν με πειράζει. Από αλλού θα έπρεπε να τα παίρνει το κράτος, όχι από αυτούς.

Αλλά αυτό με τις επιδοτήσεις στο λαιμό μου κάθεται. Να ζητάει κάποιος επιδότηση για να εκσυγχρονίσει τον εξοπλισμό του το καταλαβαίνω. Χαλάλι του. Αλλά αυτοί την έχουν δει τελείως "μισθό" την επιδότηση. Κάτσε ρε φίλε, τι είσαι; Δημόσιος Υπάλληλος και στη χρωστάει την επιδότηση το κράτος;

Ειδικά αυτοί οι γελοίοι που ζητούν επιδότηση για το βαμβάκι και τον καπνό μου σπάνε τα νεύρα. "Το υπουργείο μας λέει ξεχάστε το βαμβάκι. Αυτό σημαίνει πόλεμος!" φωνάζει ο μοσχαροθρεμένος Θεσσαλός αγρότης. Τι λε ρε φίλε; Θα σε επιδοτώ να καλλιεργείς κάτι που δεν μπορείς να πουλήσεις; Βαμβάκι στην Ελλάδα; Είναι γελοίο! Επειδή έμαθες μια καλλιέργεια και δε θέλεις να μπεις στον κόπο να μάθεις κάποια άλλη θα κάθομαι να σε επιδοτώ εγώ, ο Έλλην ή Ευρωπαίος φορολογούμενος; Τον κακό σου τον καιρό! Να αλλάξεις καλλιέργεια. Να σε επιδοτήσω (για μερικά χρόνια, για να πάρεις μπρος, αυτή την έννοια έχει η επιδότηση) για να βάλεις ένα ανταγωνιστικό προϊόν, κάτι που καλλιεργείται μόνο ή καλύτερα στην Ελλάδα και πουθενά αλλού, να ξέρω κι εγώ κι εσύ ότι θα το πουλήσεις και ότι θα έχει μέλλον η καλλιέργειά σου.

Οι εποχές που ο αγροτικός κόσμος ήταν ο αμόρφωτος λαουτζίκος που δεν ήξερε τι άλλο να κάνει παρά μόνο ότι έμαθε από τον πατέρα του, έχει περάσει ανεπιστρεπτί. Τώρα οι αγρότες πρέπει να είναι μορφωμένοι και τα χωράφια τους να είναι οργανωμένες επιχειρήσεις.

Και κομμένα τα τρακτέρ στις εθνικές. Στην Ολλανδία όταν οι σκουπιδιάρηδες απεργούν, δεν παρατάνε τα σκουπίδια μπροστά στα σπίτια να υποφέρει και να κινδυνεύει ο κόσμος. Τα μαζεύουν από τα σπίτια και πάνε και τα αδειάζουν μπροστά στο Δημαρχείο για να τα χαίρεται ο δήμαρχος.

Αλλά τι κάθομαι και λέω. Έχουν οι Ολλανδοί να ζηλέψουν το IQ του νεο-έλληνα;

Η ευρωπαϊκή έκθεση όμως λέει ότι στην Ελλάδα το δημόσιο έλλειμμα ξεπέρασε το 3% το 2007, πριν δηλαδή ξεσπάσει η κρίση!

-> Η κυβέρνηση είπε ότι σε σύγκριση με άλλες χώρες αντέχουμε καλύτερα.

Όταν αυτή η κυβέρνηση παρέλαβε από το ΠΑΣΟΚ, η ανάπτυχξη ήταν 5.5% (ενώ στην Ευρωζώνη 0.8%) και η ευρωπαϊκή έκθεση προβλέπει ότι το 2010 η Ελλάδα θα έχει ανάπτυξη 0.9% (με την Ευρωζώνη στο 0.4%).

Σε 5 χρόνια, δηλαδή, κατέστρεψαν ό,τι αναπτυξιακό απόθεμα είχε δημιουργήσει το ΠΑΣΟΚ με τις θυσίες του ελληνικού λαού!

"1000 επισκέψεις" ή "δεν είμαι καλά"

Από τότε που έβαλα αυτόν τον μετρητή στο μπλογκ, φτάσαμε τις 1000 επισκέψεις. Εκπλήσσομαι βλέποντας ότι άνθρωποι από όλο τον κόσμο μπαίνουν στο μπλογκ μου. Αλήθεια το βρίσκουν ενδιαφέρον; Εγώ ελάχιστα μπλογκ διαβάζω. Το θεωρώ χάσιμο χρόνου. Κάθεται ο κάθε (μπιπ) και γράφει ό,τι του κατέβει στο κεφάλι κι εγώ πρέπει να το διαβάσω; Και τις δικές μου (μπιπ) γιατί κάθεται κάποιος και τις διαβάζει; Πρέπει να έχει πολύ ελεύθερο χρόνο!

Δεν ξέρω γιατί γράφω. Το μπλογκ μου είναι κάπου μεταξύ ανώνυμου και επώνυμου. Οπότε ίσως και να μπορώ να γράφω ό,τι θέλω. Κάποτε έγραφα ημερολόγιο. Γιατί κάπου έπρεπε να τα πω, δεν άντεχα. Ίσως γι' αυτό γράφω εδώ. Τις προάλλες είδα κάποιον να λέει "κλείνω το μπλογκ μου γιατί δεν αντέχω άλλο τη δημοσιότητα". Δεν το πιστεύω ότι ζω σε έναν τέτοιο κόσμο. Φτιάχνει ο άλλος ένα μπλογκ για να νιώσει καλύτερα, να βγάλει τα εσώψυχά του, και δεν τον αφήνουν σε ησυχία ούτε αυτό να κάνει. Του το μετατρέπουν σε άλλο ένα πρόβλημα!

Δεν ξέρω γιατί γράφω. Ίσως γιατί δεν είμαι καλά. Κάτι λείπει. Ακόμα δεν έχω βρει τί. Ή ίσως και να ξέρω, αλλά να μη θέλω να το παραδεχτώ. Γιατί κάποτε έγραφα και ποιήματα. Και όταν σταμάτησα να γράφω καινούρια, συνειδητοποίησα γιατί έγραφα. Γιατί δεν ήμουν καλά.

Μόλις έκλεισα 1/4 του αιώνα. Γιατί ένας άνθρωπος 25 ετών να μην είναι καλά;

"Μίας αριστεράς που βγάζει την κιλότα της και πέφτει στα τέσσερα για να δεχθεί το ορθωμένο καυλί της Νέας Τάξης και βλέπει το χύσι να κυλάει από το μουνί της περιμένοντας να της δώσει το χαρτομάντιλο για να σκουπιστεί και μετά να αφήσει διακριτικά την αμοιβή, για τις καλές υπηρεσίες, στο κομοδίνο. "

Ενδιαφέρουσα θεώρηση. Δεν ξέρω σε ποιον ανήκει. Τη βρήκα σε ένα site (δεν έχει σημασία σε ποιο) αλλά δεν κατάλαβα αν ήταν προσωπική άποψη αυτού που το έγραψε ή το είχε διαβάσει κάπου. Λίγο τολμηρό, αλλά εκπληκτικά εύστοχο. Κανονικά θα έπρεπε να με ανησυχίσει το γεγονός ότι λίγο πιο πάνω έγραφε "Θα πρέπει να ευχαριστήσουμε τον κ. Πλεύρη για την αγωγή του...", αλλά θα χρησιμοποιήσω κανά δυο δικιολογίες για να το παραβλέψω, όπως: από μικρό και από τρελό θα μάθεις την αλήθεια ή δεν πρέπει να βγάζουμε συμπεράσματα από μεμονωμένες φράσεις κτλ.

Καιρό έχω να γράψω. Τελευταία περνάω τις ώρες μου κοιτώντας το ταβάνι μεταξύ 5 και 11, όταν γυρνάω από τη δουλειά και πριν κοιμηθώ δηλαδή. Δε μπορώ να το συνηθίσω το ρημάδι το 8ωρο. Του πατέρα μου, λέει, του πήρε 10 χρόνια να το συνηθίσει. Ελπίζω να μην έχω κληρονομήσει το γονίδιο.

Προχθές είχα ραντεβού στο Δήμο για κάτι μαθήματα Ολλανδικών. Διάβασα στην εφημερίδα ότι ένας νέος νόμος λέει ότι όσοι μένουν στην Ολλανδία πρέπει υποχρεωτικά να μαθαίνουν Ολλανδικά. Λίγο γελοίο μου φάνηκε το γεγονός ότι και η διαφήμιση στην εφημερίδα ήταν στα Ολλανδικά, όπως και η διαφήμιση στο ραδιόφωνο, αλλά και σχεδόν όλο το website! Μου έδωσε την εντύπωση ότι το πρόγραμμα δεν είναι για τους μετανάστες, αλλά στην ουσία για τους Ολλανδούς. Σα να τους λένε "ψηφοφόρε, κοιμήσου ήσυχος, μαθαίνω Ολλανδικά στους μετανάστες". Αλλά είπα τελικά να το ψάξω μπας και είναι τζάμπα.

Η διεύθυνση που μου έδωσαν ήταν τελείως άσχετη. Ήταν το 4ο διαφορετικό κτίριο του Δήμου που επισκεπτόμουν. Ένιωσα ότι μπαίνω σε καμιά εταιρία. Στη ρεσεψιόν μου δώσανε χαρτάκι και περίμενα τη σειρά μου όπως στην τράπεζα. Δίπλα μου ήταν διάφοροι που επίσης περίμεναν. Ήταν κι ένα ζευγάρι μιας Ολλανδής κι ενός Μαροκκινού. Είχαν έρθει για παρόμοια περίπτωση, την ενσωμάτωση του Μαροκκάνου φίλου της προφανώς. Κάποια στιγμή ήρθε η σειρά τους και ήρθε μία κυρία και τους ζήτησε να περάσουν σε μια "κάμαρα συζήτησης".

Όταν ήρθε η δική μου σειρά ήρθε μια κυρία χαμογελαστή και με πήρε και πήγαμε σε μια αίθουσα γεμάτη με γραφεία όπου κάθονταν και συζητούσαν υπάλληλοι με δημότες. Τελικά τζάμπα πήγα. Ο νόμος απαλλάσσει τους φοιτητές και τους πολίτες της Ε.Ε. Παρ' όλ' αυτά η κυρία κάθισε και μου μιλούσε επί μισή ώρα, εξηγώντας μου τα προγράμματα συνεργασίας που έχει ο Δήμος με διάφορους φορείς για να εκτελέσει αυτό το νόμο, καθώς και εναλλακτικές που έχω εγώ που δε με πιάνει ο νόμος. Επί χρήμασι φυσικά.

Ήρθε στο νου μου ένα τυπικό ελληνικό δημαρχείο. Οι εγκαταστάσεις, η συμπεριφορά των υπαλλήλων, τα (ελάχιστα) ζητήματα με τα οποία ασχολείται ο Δήμος, η νοοτροπία και οι πολιτικές των Δημάρχων.

Για άλλη μια φορά διαπίστωσα ότι είμαστε 100 χρόνια πίσω και βγήκα με μια δόση μελαγχολίας από το κτίριο, παρ' όλο που η βροχή είχε σταματήσει και ο ήλιος είχε βγει επιτέλους μετά από 3 μέρες...

Δεν κατάφερε να πείσει τα οικονομικά και τα εκδοτικά συμφέροντα…

Γιατί γνωρίζουν ότι δεν θα τους προσκυνήσει ποτέ…

Και την επόμενη άρχισαν πάλι το βρώμικο πόλεμο…

Δεν χρησιμοποιεί τα έμπειρα στελέχη…

Ακόμη και ο «κανένας» είναι καταλληλότερος Πρωθυπουργός…

Επιτέλους αποκαλύφθηκε ο εκλεκτός τους…

Αυτός που δεν θα διαταράξει τη νομή της εξουσίας…

Αυτός που θα διασφαλίζει τα οικονομικά συμφέροντα…

Πριν σχολιάσω, θα παραθέσω ένα μικρό αποσπασμα:

"Όλοι εσείς χτυπάτε σήμερα με απίστευτη ευκολία και συνάμα λύσσα τον Γιώργο Παπανδρέου ως τον μοναδικό υπεύθυνο για την κατάντια του ΠΑΣΟΚ. Έχοντας στο αίμα σας σταλινικά κατάλοιπα να καθορίζουν το πως θεωρείτε έναν κομματικό ηγέτη, γουστάρετε έναν αρχηγό να σας έχει με το βούρδουλα, να σας δίνει γραμμή που δεν τολμάτε να αλλάξετε ούτε τελεία. Να σας επιβάλλει το θέλω του χωρίς σκεπτικό , χωρίς διάλογο, να σας διαγράφει όταν διαφωνήσετε , αν τολμήσετε ποτέ να διαφωνήσετε. Είσαστε στον προηγούμενο (για να μην πω στον προπροηγούμενο) αιώνα! Δεν αντέχετε έναν ηγέτη που βάζει τον άνθρωπο και το διάλογο πάνω απο όλα. Είστε τελικά κι εσείς μέρος αυτών που δεν θέλουν να αλλάξει τίποτα!"

Βιάζονται πολλοί να θάψουνε το ΠΑΣΟΚ. Άλλοι βλέπουν διάλυση, άλλοι το βλέπουν 3ο κόμμα. Και φυσικά ένας είναι αυτός που χαίρεται πραγματικά για όλα αυτά: η Νέα Δημοκρατία.

Είναι αναμφισβήτητο ότι οι δημοσκοπήσεις χτυπάνε καμπανάκι στο ΠΑΣΟΚ (και όχι μόνο, αλλά ας εστιάσουμε στο ΠΑΣΟΚ). Διαβάζουν, αλήθεια, όλοι αυτοί που μιλάνε για το τέλος του ΠΑΣΟΚ τις δημοσκοπήσεις ΣΩΣΤΑ;

Σύμφωνα με τις ίδιες δημοσκοπήσεις, στις ηλικίες 18-30 το ΠΑΣΟΚ είναι πρώτο κόμμα! Ακολουθεί ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ και η ΝΔ είναι τρίτη με 18%!!! Αν κάποιος αργοσβήνει, λοιπόν, αυτή είναι η ΝΔ. Το ΠΑΣΟΚ όπως δείχνει αυτή η δημοσκόπηση έχει μέλλον.

While the negotiations between Greece and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia(FYROM) are taking place regarding the 17-year-old dispute over FYROM's name, young nationalists were throwing rocks, gas bottles, etc etc, against the Greek Embassy in Skopje!
The young nationalists were holding banners with slogans as "cretin Greeks", "fuck you Greece", etc etc, as well as maps showing the "Great Macedonia", meaning maps showing FYROM extended against Greek, Bulgarian and Albanian territories! They were also holding flags with the star of Vergina, which has been forbidden in 1995, since the Vergina Sun was recognised as a Greek symbol and part of the Greek heritage.

They also attacked Greek journalists who were filming both them and THE POLICE, WHICH WAS JUST WATCHING THEM, DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT. They caused damages to the Greek embassy and the Greek cars out of it. The Greeks employees of the embassy were pent there for hours.

And those things were happening in A COUNTRY THAT WANTS TO JOIN NATO AND EU!!!!

The international Media made no reference about the whole thing. There is not a single reference even for the negotiations taking place the last days between Greece and FYROM under the United Nations representative Matthiew Nimetz. I guess the news "donkeys like to swim in the sea" which I read today in http://www.nu.nl/ is much more important than the sensitive region of Balkans.

Some words for those who don't know anything about the issue:

The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia became an independent country after the dissolution of Yugoslavia in 1991. Greece objected immediately since Macedonia is a Greek region, Macedonians is one of the Greek tribes, and the history of Macedonia is part of the Greek history (more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macedonia_%28Greece%29 ).

The citizens of FYROM are Slavic. Like the rest of the Slavs, they came to the Balkans during the 7th century, thus 1000 years after the death of the most famous king of the Macedonians, Alexander the Great. They have nothing to do with Macedonia.

Actually, the citizens of FYROM, as the rest of the Yugoslav republics which were created after the split of Yugoslavia are a mixture of many different nationalities. Bulgarians (the majority), Serbs, Croats, Albanians (the biggest minority, around 25%), Turks, Greeks(Vlachs), are some of them. Bulgaria itself recognises them as Bulgarians and gives them the Bulgarian nationality and passport. Skopje (the capital city of FYROM) has actually been the capital of Bulgaria for some years!

In 1995 there has been achieved a mid-agreement between the two countries. It was decided that the country would join the United Nations with the name Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, it will change its flag, into a flag that doesn't contain any Greek symbols (like the Vergina Sun) and both the countries promised to continue the negotiations to find a commonly accepted name.

Unfortunately FYROM does nothing towards this direction. In contrast they insist in the name "Republic of Macedonia", they spread propaganda that they are the real descendants of the ancient Macedonians, that ancient Macedonians didn't even speak Greek(!!!) and they have territoral claims against Greece and Bulgaria!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a documentary of a famous Greek journalist (A. Papachelas) who went to a high school of FYROM. He asked the students if they know where their country ends. ALL the students gave names of Greek cities!!! Moreover in the classroom there was a map of "Great Macedonia". Here's that map:

This map shows FYROM extended on foreign territories of Greece, Bulgaria and Albania.

The propaganda of the existence of a "Macedonian nation" started in the fifties from Tito. Tito, tried to keep Skopjeans in Yugoslavia and away from their actual brothers, Bulgarians. He started this propaganda that they are neither Bulgarian, nor Serb, but a distinguish nation: Macedonians. The majority of the people were forced to change their names. The typical ending of a name was the typical Bulgarian -ov. For example Dimitrov. The "macedonian" ending -vski was invented, and Dimtrov was renamed to Dimitrovski.

Before the 50s, the region was never called "Macedonia". And here's some proof:

Although Greeks are against of any use of the term "Macedonia" by those people, they are willing to compromise into a compositional name, like "Republic of North Macedonia", which uses Macedonia as a geographical and not ethnic term.

In my opinion the best name would be "Slavomacedonia" since it shows 1)where this country lays and 2)the origin of the people and it distinguishes them from the original Macedonians (the Greeks).

FYROM, however, refuses to change its constitutional name(Republic of Macedonia). They believe that the agreement should be about the name that they will use only when they talk with Greece (despite what they agreed in the mid-agreement of 1995) and keep their constitutional name for all the other countries and international organisations, whereas Greece believes that they should have one name for all uses.

Greece, thus, has no other option than raise veto and block the entrance of this country both in NATO and EU.

This is definitely going to wake up some people in FYROM. Joining NATO and EU is a matter of survival for this country. Since the Albanians consist 25% of the population what happened in Kosovo may be repeated in FYROM! Even if it doesn't happen soon, in 10 to 20 years Albanians will be 50% of the population of this country, and then... Skopjeans will be wishing they had never left Yugoslavia!

Μην εκπλήσσεστε που σας τη λέει το ΠΑΣΟΚ. Όταν ξεχνάτε ότι είστε δημοσιογράφοι και όχι πολιτικοί και μετατρέπετε το δελτίο ειδήσεών σας σε τηλεοπτικό κους κους, να τα περιμένετε αυτά!

Εγώ έμαθα στο σχολείο, στην Έκφραση-Έκθεση, ότι ο δημοσιογράφος ποτέ δεν εκφράζει άποψη ή σχόλιο, παρά μόνο παρουσιάζει γεγονότα και απόψεις ανθρώπων που εμπλέκονται σε αυτά τα γεγονότα. Μάλιστα με την καθηγήτρια κάναμε άπειρες ασκήσεις για να ξεχωρίζουμε την είδηση από το σχόλιο.

Εσείς που σπουδάσατε δημοσιογραφία, δε σας στο είπε κανένας;!

I felt very sad watching on the news the declaration of independence of Kosovo, which violates every international law. Is it possible that such a small country can survive in the era of globalisation? I really doubt it. The new country cannot supply its citizens with electricity and water. It has no wealth resources. Thus, no future. Corruption and poverty are flourishing.

Sooner or later it will be forced to join another country to survive. The only ally this country has is Albania, where things are not much better.

But that's what it was all about? To cut a piece of land from a country and give it to another total illegally?!

Sooner or later, the West will be forced to face the consequences of its hypocrisy.

Μα ποιον διορίζει η Κυβέρνηση της Νέας Δημοκρατίας για να πατάξει την διαφθορά; Ονομάζεται Σπύρος Κλαδάς. Και ποιος είναι ο κ. Κλαδάς;

Σύμφωνα με τη χθεσινή εκπομπή του Τριανταφυλλόπουλου ο κ. Κλαδάς ήταν λίγα χρόνια πριν ο δικηγόρος της οικογένειας Βασιλέλη. Η οικογένεια Βασιλέλη αν θυμάστε είχε μαζέψει από έρανο ένα μεγάλο ποσό για να μπορέσει να πάει το άρρωστο παιδάκι της στην Αμερική για να σώσει τη ζωή του. Το ποσό αυτό η Εθνική Τράπεζα το δέσμευσε χρησιμοποιώντας έναν νόμο της δεκαετίας του '30(!!!) και το παιδάκι πέθανε. Όπως αποκαλύφθηκε στην εκπομπή ο συγκεκριμένος δικηγόρος όχι μόνο δεν έκανε καμία νομική ενέργεια ενάντια στην Τράπεζα όσο ήταν δικηγόρος της οικογένειας (δηλαδή τους δούλευε ψιλό γαζί), αλλά λίγα χρόνια αργότερα, σε δικαστήριο της οικογένειας ενάντια στην Εθνική Τράπεζα εμφανίζεται ως μάρτυρας υπεράσπισης της Τράπεζας!!!

Ο άνθρωπος αυτός είναι στενός συνεργάτης του Καραμανλή από παλιά στο δικηγορικό γραφείο του (Καραμανλή). Αργότερα ο Καραμανλής του ανέθεσε τη Γενική Γραμματεία Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων και επίσης τον βάζει στο ΔΣ της εταιρίας Ολυμπιακά Ακίνητα Α.Ε. Αργότερα τον βάζει στη Γενική Γραμματεία Ολυμπιακής Αξιοποίησης. Τέλος του αναθέτει την Υπηρεσία Ειδικών Ελέγχων, την υπηρεσία με την οποία η Νέα Δημοκρατία αντικατέστησε το ΣΔΟΕ.

Αυτόν τον άνθρωπο διάλεξε η Νέα Δημοκρατία για να πατάξει τη διαφθορά και το οικονομικό έγκλημα! Αυτοί είναι οι συνεργάτες του κ. Καρμαμανλή. Αυτά είναι τα μεγαλοστελέγχη της Νέας Δημοκρατίας!

Δικαστικός καθαιρείται γιατί αποκάλυψε παραδικαστικό κύκλωμα

Η δικαστής Γρεβενών κα Μαρία Μαργαρίτη, εκδιώχθηκε κακήν κακώς από το δικαστικό σώμα, όταν έβγαλε στήν φόρα παρτίδα Κονδυλίων που προορίζονταν ως οικονομική ενίσχυση σε σεισμοπαθείς, τα οποία κατασπαράχθηκαν από κρατικούς και παρακρατικούς φορείς.

Παράλληλα, ξεμπρόστιασε ολόκληρο το δικαστικόσώμα, αποκαλύπτοντας τον ΟΙΚΟ ΑΝΟΧΗΣ ΠΟΥ ΛΕΙΤΟΥΡΓΕΙ ΣΤΟΥΣ ΧΩΡΟΥΣ ΤΟΝ ΔΙΚΑΣΤΗΡΙΩΝ: Εκατοντάδες ανήλικοι έχουν κακοποιηθεί σεξουαλικά (και πολλές φορές έναντι αμοιβής που απολαμβάνουν δικαστικοί και άλλοι"μεσάζοντες") σε μυστικό χώρο, ειδικά διαμορφωμένο εντός των δικαστηρίων!

Η κα Μαρία Μαργαρίτη, προέβη σε απεργία πείνας έξω από το Μέγαρο
Μαξίμου, ζητώντας την πλήρη αποκατάστασή της και την ανάδειξη των
παραπάνω θεμάτων. Όμως, η προσωπική ασφάλεια του κου Καραμανλή
φρόντισε να την απομακρύνει βίαια, όπως θα δείτε και στο παρακάτω βίντεο.

Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι το συγκεκριμένο θέμα μέχρι αυτή την στιγμή
ΔΕΝ ΠΡΟΒΛΗΘΗΚΕ ΠΟΤΕ ΚΑΙ ΑΠΟ ΚΑΝΕΝΑ ΣΧΕΔΟΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟ ΡΑΔΙΟΤΗΛΕΟΠΤΙΚΟ ΜΕΣΟ, παρά μόνο από το BBC, ενώ στο YouTube η μαζική διανομή του βίντεο δεν επιτρέπεται (αναγράφεται η ένδειξη "Embedding disabled by

Είναι μόνο είκοσι ημέρες που έχει διακόψει την τηλεοπτική εκπομπή του ο Λάκης Λαζόπουλος και κοντεύει να πέσει η κυβέρνηση. Άντε να επιστρέψει ο σπουδαίος μας δημιουργός και να συνεχίσει την ανελέητη σάτιρά του σε γυναίκες που βρίσκονται στην κλιμακτήριο, για να πάρει η κυβέρνηση μιαν ανάσα. Ελπίζω να μην παραλείψει να αναφέρει και πάλι πως ο Κώστας Καραμανλής είναι μια «ηθική μυγοσκοτώστρα», ώστε να μπορέσει ο πρωθυπουργός να συνεχίσει τον σκληρό και ανένδοτο αγώνα του εναντίον της διαφθοράς.

Εκλογές 2007

Ο Ναπολέων έλεγε ότι "η ηλιθιότητα είναι ανίκητη και αιώνια". Ο Ελληνικός λαός το αποδεικνύει περίτρανα. Είναι θαύμα (ελληνικό) πως μπορεί μια κυβέρνηση των κουμπάρων, των ομολόγων, των ζαρντινιέρων και των ασύμμετρων απειλών, μια κυβέρνηση που έκαψε την Ελλάδα να επανεκλέγεται. Πως γίνεται αυτό το 41.8% να εμπιστεύεται και πάλι τους ανίκανους, τους ψεύτες, τους ληστές και τον υποκριτή πρωθυπουργό τους;

Είναι απλό: δεν τους εμπιστεύεται. Η ΝΔ κέρδισε μετά βίας την αυτοδυναμία με τα ρουσφέτια και τα βολέματα. Υπάρχει ένα ποσοστό "Ελλήνων" που έχει συνειδητοποιήσει ότι η ΝΔ βολεύει "τα δικά της παιδιά", οπότε φρόντισαν να προσκοληθούν σε αυτήν.

Πόσο θλιβερά είναι αυτά τα άτομα αλήθεια; Πόση έλλειψη αυτοπεποίθησης, αυτοσεβασμού, ήθους ώστε να γλύφουν υποψήφιους βουλευτές για μια 8μηνη σύμβαση; Για μια θέση 500 ευρώ στο Δήμο. Λες και το 8μηνο ή με τα 5 κατοστάρικα σώθηκαν. Αλήθεια τόσο ηλίθιοι είναι που δε βλέπουν ότι με ΝΔ θα παίρνουν 500 ευρώ και θα πληρώνουν 1500 σε φόρους;!

Τι να πει κανείς για το αυτό το 5.5% που εγκατέληψαν το δικομματισμό για να διαμαρτυρηθούν και πήγαν στο ΚΚΕ και στο Συνασπισμό. Αυτή έδωσαν τη νίκη στη ΝΔ. Αν ονειρεύονται ως εναλλακτικό του δικομματισμού μια διασπασμένη και αδύναμη κεντροαριστερά και μια ΝΔ που θα παίρνει σε κάθε εκλογές την κυβέρνηση εξαιτίας της ηλιθιότητας της αριστεράς, τότε τι να πω; Απλά κάνουν πλάτες στη Δεξιά! Και επομένως αντιλαϊκή πολιτική.

Οι Έλληνες πρέπει να το καταλάβουν. Όπως είπε ο Γιώργος Παπανδρέου όσο υπάρχει η Δεξιά στην Ελλάδα, ενωμένη, ως ισχυρός πόλος η λύση είναι μία και μόνο: ένας αντίπαλος ισχυρός προοδευτικός πόλος στην κεντροαριστερά.

Ο Αλαβάνος συνεχίζει να φέρεται έξυπνα. "Ξέρουμε ότι είναι δοκιμή", είπε. Το δε ΚΚΕ στον κόσμο του. Νομίζει ότι το 2.5% που πήρε από το ΠΑΣΟΚ είναι προλαιτάριοι που ξύπνησαν.

"Θα κινηθούμε και μετά τις εκλογές ενωτικά", είπε ο Αλαβάνος. Αναρωτιέμαι αν δεν έπιανε αυτοδυναμία η ΝΔ (που λίγο ήθελε, μόλις 2 βουλευτές της την εξασφαλίζουν), αν θα συνεργαζόταν ("ενωτικά") με το ΠΑΣΟΚ. Αν όχι, θα έδειχνε ότι κι αυτός κάνει πλάτη στη Δεξιά. Και στις επόμενες εκλογές θα ξεφούσκωνε το 5% όπως έγινε το 1996.

Και αφού περιλάβαμε όλους τους ηλιθίους, δεξιά και αρίστερά, πάμε τώρα και στους ηλιθίους του κέντρου. Στο ΠΑΣΟΚ. Μα νομίζουν δηλαδή ο Βενιζέλος και οι γελοίοι που έπεσαν με τα μούτρα να τον στηρίξουν (πλην του Λοβέρδου όλοι άλλοι καμμένα ήδη χαρτιά) ότι ο κόσμος πιστεύει ότι το πρόβλημα του ΠΑΣΟΚ είναι πρόβλημα αρχηγού;

Δηλαδή ο μπουχέσας (aka Καραμανλής) που έτρωγε 8 χρόνια τη σκόνη του Σημίτη στην καταλληλότητα για πρωθυπουργία (και με το που έπεσε το ΠΑΣΟΚ και ανέβηκε η ΝΔ ξαφνικά έγινε ο καταλληλότερος) ήταν πρόβλημα για τη ΝΔ; Τότε γιατί τον ανέχτηκαν 8 χρόνια υπομονετικά μέχρι να πάρει τις εκλογές και τώρα τον έχουν θεοποιήσει κιόλας;

Αυτές οι εκλογές χάθηκαν εξαιτίας των ομαδούλων και όχι του Παπανδρέου. Οι ύαινες της νεολαίας ΠΑΣΟΚ ροκανίζουν την καρέκλα του Παπανδρέου από την πρώτη στιγμή της εκλογής του, γιατί ξέρουν ότι στο ΠΑΣΟΚ ενός Παπανδρέου, ομαδούλες και λαμόγια δεν έχουν θέση.

Λυπάμαι πολύ, γιατί η Ελλάδα έχασε μια μεγάλη ευκαιρία. Το 2013 τα κονδύλια της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης στερεύουν. Και ήδη η Νέα Δημοκρατία απέτυχε να απορροφήσει το Γ' ΚΠΣ (μόλις 66% απορροφητικότητα). Η νέα, αδύναμη, κυβέρνηση της ΝΔ των 152 βουευτών είναι βέβαιο ότι δε θα τολμήσει καμία ριζική αλλαγή. Η κατάσταση με μια κυβέρνηση που παραπαίει και μια χώρα ακυβέρνητο καράβι θα συνεχιστεί μέχρι την τελική πτώση του Καρμανλή.

Και η Ελλάδα δε θα χάσει μόνο χρόνο, δε θα χάσει μόνο το Δ' και τελευταίο Κοινωτικό Πλαίσιο Στήριξης. Αλλά θα χάσει και μία ευκαιρία. Μία ευκαιρία να μπουν κάποια πράγματα στη θέση τους. Να εξομοιωθούν οι ελληνικοί θεσμοί με τους ευρωπαϊκούς. Στην Ολλανδία μένω και βλέπω ότι όλα όσα πρότεινε ο Παπανδρέου στο πρόγραμμα του ΠΑΣΟΚ είναι θεσμοί που ήδη δουλεύουν χρόνια στην Ολλανδία και γενικά στη Β. Ευρώπη με επιτυχία.

Αλλά οι Έλληνες επέλεξαν ρήτορες (Καραμανλής, Αλαβάνος) που κάνουν πλάτες σε ληστές (ομόλογα, γαλάζιες σύνεντεύξεις, ασύμμετρες απειλές) αντί ενός σοβαρού Ευρωπαίου πολιτικού με σύγχρονο ευρωπαϊκό όραμα, όπως ο Γιώργος Παπανδρέου.

Αλλά όπως είπε και ο Αϊνστάιν: "Δύο πράγματα μόνο είναι άπειρα: το σύμπαν και η ανθρώπινη ηλιθιότητα. Και δεν είμαι σίγουρος για το σύμπαν".

Yesterday Georgios A. Papandreou, the president of The Socialist International, and probably the next Greek Prime Minister finished his speech with a wonderful way.

He finished with 7 points of the German philosopher Meyer-Abich, which in my opinion form the stairway of the evolution of the human conciousness. The way to the socialism, to the realisation that humanity is one and a whole, an organism, and we are just cells of this organism. Different, yes, like liver cells, heart cells, brain cells. But we all work for the same reason, for the well being of the organism, not just our own.

Here's the 7 points of Meyer-Abich, which Papandreou used to conclude his speech:

1. I care only about myself.
2. I care not only about myself, but my family and friends too.
3. I care not only about myself, my family and my friends, but my nation too.
4. I care not only about myself, my family, my friends and my nation, but all the nations of Earth too.
5. I care not only about all people today, but the previous and future generations too.
6. I care not only about the humanity, but every living creature and element of Earth.
7. I care about everything.

More than 50 people died in fires

I feel so sad. 1 month later I have to write again about big fires in Greece. This time Greece mourns. 51 people have been found dead right now.

And THAT moment the Greek governement chose to call for national elections!

For god's shake. I can write nothing more. I'm just furious

Greece goes on fire!

The last weeks the Greeks are watching their forests being burned out. The Fire Brigade loses the war. This year has been burned more forests than ever. I’m surprised that this time people are not blaming the government… but actually the Fire Brigade although 3 firemen lost their lives!

I’ve been helping the Fire Brigade troops in big fires as a Red Cross volunteer last year in Crete. I’ve seen myself that due to the wild surface of Greece, ground troops cannot do much. At least not without help from the air. I’ve seen with my own eyes a small tree catching up fire on its own 4 times, although the firemen had thrown tons of water on it each time.

Is still the Fire Brigade responsible, when the government hires 3000 totally useless agrofylakes (agro-field guards) instead of firemen or instead of buying equipment (e.g. planes or helicopters) to enhance the Fire Brigade? Then what the hell is the government responsible for?

I hope to get an answer before the last tree of this country turns into ashes.

Turkey: Elections and immature meaningless acts.

Turkey goes to elections this weekend and once again Greece has to pay the price. Usually it’s Turkish military airplanes getting illegally into the Greek borders (or something with Cyprus). Increase of the number of such incidents, to be more accurate, since such intrusions/provocations are done by the Turkish army very often, almost every day. But this time it was something else. The International Union of Greek Orthodox Christian Youth had their festival in Istanbul where the Ecumenical Patriarchate of the Orthodox Christian Church lays. The festival would conclude with a concert given by a famous Greek singer Georgios Dalaras.

The Turks took back the permission they had given for the concert and the concert was cancelled. The Turkish media said this singer is anti-Turk. Georgios Dalaras has sung actually for the re-union of the island of Cyprus as well as to raise money for Turkish children suffering from mental diseases. And for Turkey this person is an enemy!

What can someone say about a country (willing to join EU) in which it is ILLEGAL to talk against this country, to admit that the Armenian or the Pontian-Greek genocide are not science fictions or that Kurds are actually a different ethnic group?!

Al een jaar in Nederland

Already one year in the Netherlands. It was like a glimpse. I’m sitting in my childhood bedroom now in hot Greece. This year is running back in my mind. Since I got in Greece I already miss the Dutch trains, the perfect roads and generally that abstract sense that everything works! However, by the first moment here, I felt the difference in those two countries view over the food! Oh, really, Dutch people have no idea. They just put something in their mouth to make their stomach stop complaining (“brood met iets erop”). Greeks on the other way have turned cooking into a real art. And that great artist, my mother, of course had something great for me when I came back. Hehehe.

I’m having a hard time to get used to the Greek summer. I left Netherlands with 12 degrees celcius and I landed on 30 degrees Greece. Well, it’s nice not to worry about what you’re going to wear (you wear as less things as you can, all 24 hours of the day), but if you work in a big city like Athens or Thessaloniki, you really suffer! I made a small visit to the capital of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, and it was like a trip to hell. The busses usually had no air-conditioning, and even when they did, the people were not patient enough and they opened the windows. So, no use.

Also a big difference that cheered me up when I came here. Whenever you go out: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Sunday it doesn’t matter… it’ s always crowded! In Netherlands there are people outside only on Friday and Saturday. Sunday is a dead day all day long. Here Sunday is always crowded. People go on trips or just out to drink their coffee in a café by reading their Sunday-newspaper or just meeting friends.

Every country has its pros and its cons. Although I think I’ve already got acquainted to all the cons of Netherlands, there are still many pros to discover. It was a busy year with lots of courses and only a few money. Next year there will be more time to do things and more money since I’ll be working. But till then… I can have a great summer under the Greek sun ;)

Gay-friendly cities have more economic prosperity

Since last weekend it was the Gay Pride in Athens (also in Toronto as my friend Fotini informed me) let's write something about gays.

I found this research from the George Mason University in USA. According to it, the more "gay-friendly" a city is, the more "economically prosperous" it will be. In his March 2007 paper (which can be read here), they use a "Gay Index" to show that "artistic, bohemian, and gay populations" have significant effects on housing values. They also found that gay-friendly areas typically support technological innovation and higher income levels. Additionally, educated young people tend to move to the most gay-friendly cities, because they generally have the best job markets.

Could those cities really owe their prosperity to gays?

Yes and no. I believe in the power of the citizen. When citizens are not supressed, and they are able to hunt their happiness and dreams they can do miracles. Either they are gay or not. So it's not that gay people are bettter than others. It's just that those cities make sure that a piece of them, an important one actually (10%), is free to act as it wills and has no obstacles or supression. They give it a chance to do miracles.

That can be a good lesson for Greece. The Greek politicians have not realised yet the power of the citizen (maybe only George Papandreou). Last week the mayor of Athens (Nikitas Kaklamanis) refused to put Athen's Gay Pride 2007 under the auspicies of the City Hall (municipality). He received very strong critisism about that.

The sooner Greeks wake up, the better for them. Especially in the gay issue, the whole Europe laughs when they hear that the country in which homosexual love was invented (or at least flurished) is actually... homophobic!

EU agreement

I read that the EU managed to go into a new agreement last night, replacing the failure of the European Constitution.

It's funny how two countries who want the same thing, but fight for it in a different way always manage to ruin Europe's true union.

The greatest difficulties were Poland and England.

Poland doesn't want to leave the veto-system. I agree. The new system just gives the big countries more votes. It doesn't give the decision to the majority of the European Citizens, so it's actually less democratic than the old one. But this is not why Poland dissagrees. Poland just wants to stay as much as independent as possible. Because it's a big country, compared to other EU countries it's powerful enough to stop any decisions it doens't like using the present system. If the system changes, it won't. Poland just wants to take from European Union and not give.

England is actually the same. England wants to be in EU, but also be as independent as possible. The new voting system doesn't affect it (cause it's a big country), but if the Constitution or the new agreement is going to pass, she has to accept the Charter of Fundamental Rights, which gives the workers of England too many rights, and England doesn't want that. How ironic that the Labour Party is in power!!!

Actually England has a Guiness Record on "exceptions"! The most obvious are Euro-zone, Schengen zone, etc etc. Whenever Europe goes forth, England stays behind. Whenever it comes to military stuff and common foreign affairs policy, England is more like the advocate of USA and never agrees with the rest of the Europeans. England was obsessed with terrorism and forced all these exhaustive and hysterical measures in the airports.

So, is UK in the EU because it feels like European or is it inside EU just to sabotage it?!

I'm tired of watching the same play again and again, every time EU wants to move on; having to discuss UK constant disagreements and eventually accept ANOTHER exception. Let's move on. The countries that are really interested in uniting Europe may follow. The rest of the countries can just make us a favour and stay the hell out of it!

Sto para 5

I spent my evening yesterday watching the last episode of the famous Greek comedy series "sto para 5". It's one of the innocent but not naive series that the whole family can watch. Some people complained about the last episode. It was too dramatic they said for a comedy. I think the last episode is like a break up. And break ups are always dramatic. It was nice. And it sent so many messages about life and death, love, etc. But the best I think was the last message: Switch the TV off! The real life is out there!

This message, along with the last picture of the 5 friends playing in the sea sent all my stress away and gave me a great feeling. I think I'm going to have a really nice summer :)

Welcome to my blog.

I have no idea why people create those things. I just felt the need to create one too. I don't know where it comes from, I don't know how to satisfy it, neither where it's going to lead me to. But I'm doing it anyway.

I'll start with a song. To present myself. It's Greek so I'll give you first the Greek lyrics and then I'll tranlsate for my international friends. I wish I could write in Greek in this blog. It's my favourite language. But things change, and we have to adjust. We always have to adjust, though never yield.
