How to fully reset your jailbroken iPhone without upgrading and without losing your jailbreak.



Lots of people found themselves recently in the same condition as me. They want to sell their iPhone 4S or pass it to a family member, but they can't reset their jailbroken iPhone because the only way to reset a jailbroken iPhone is through iTunes.

But Apple stopped signing iOS 7.1.2, so after the reset the iPhone 4S would compulsory upgrade to iOS 8.1 which is not optimised for iPhone 4S and whoever has upgraded has regretted it, since it makes iPhone 4S super slow.

After some long search I found a solution: iLEX R.A.T.

You install it preferably from cydia as well as the mobile terminal and you just run the command "rat" in the mobile terminal, you type 12 and press enter et voila!

(be patient, it takes way more time to clean up the phone than in the youtube video)

After it reboots it is like a newly activated iPhone, plus jailbroken!
